Last nights news was very important and came at a good time. A rumor had been circulating that Actel was going to put up $3,000,000, but they came through with $8,000,000. The Gatefield technology must be a very hot item or Actel would simply have moved on. This is enough cash to carry Gatefield through 1999.

This is also coming at a good time as the chart is showing a new short term bottom on Monday. Take a look at the Stochastic indicator.

You all know how I feel on the voting - it's still the same. Get Idanta off the board and vote no on the reverse split and additional shares. Every shareholder(large or small) needs to vote. I am encouraged that Saxe has been able to put the deal togeather with Actel.

Today should be the beginning of a good run up.

Best to all.

Tom

GATE doesn't seem to want to bought out. At least, that was one of the reasons given in the proxy statement for justifying the reverse split and/or authorized share increase. Basically, the 61 million authorized but unissued shares are available for a 'poison pill' to discourage a hostile takeover. Having all those shares suddenly dumped on the market would be enough to discourage anyone!
