Fidelity's regular "WebXpress" brokerage site is one of the slowest sites I have ever used. It can be agonizing to get info or place a trade. I almost always resort to using their telephone "Touchtone Express" service. I complained over a year ago that their website was unacceptably slow, and they said they were aware of the problem and were working on it. Since it hasn't improved much in all this time, I'd be very leary of their new "activetrader" site.

Datek is really fast and reliable today. Got very quick executions from the beginning. Finally, they improve.

Oh whoopie! Another Datek. Just what we need.

I had an account with Fidelity. Site was slow. Fills ranged from reasonable to very, very poor. Your account is updated the next day. I.e., you don't have a clue what you buying power/account balance is during the day. And, their commissions are high for what you get.

OK, now that I've covered the good points...

Regards,

Dan.
