True, however, that is not what I am doing. If I buy ATI technologies I buy it with the idea of daytrading it....I may or may not own ATI longterm, if I get sucked into a huge downdraft and it bypasses my "stop limit" I hold, I donot sustain further loses by selling because the fundamentals of the company are still good. If I buy TVL, I ensure through appropriate stop limits that I don't get stuck with it.

A positions trader concentrates on reducing existing positions, this is not what I do. I daytrade stocks that I know little about and fit the "penny" description....I have one set of rules for them.....I daytrade Sask Potash and Barrick....I have another set of rules for them.....I don't see a conflict here?

I made the comment to Kevin, because IMHO the rules don't apply flat across the board. I have made exceptions in my porfolio and it works.....it really is up to the player and what he plays!!

I would and likely will play YRI today, but I have a different set of rules for the stock, than I do when I play ABX.

Sorry I didn't express myself clearly enough the first time....its early!!
