Sarmad,

It's like this: you develop an aggressive plan of attack with entry points expected on the dip, in a company you want to own. You run your plan. You ignore the crowd. You feel the knots in your stomach like everyone else but you know they are a good sign. If it gets much worse than you expect, you do have to preserve capital. That's it. You win some, you lose some. The goal is to win much more often, and much more when you do win. Others may not understand, but you hand in your card at the end of the day. It doesn't matter how you do it, as long as your score is good, over the long haul. You cannot win every day.

It has NEVER been easy to buy these stocks. You want INET/tech profits; take the heat. Is the economy dying? TECH earnings were up 40+% last qtr vs 10% on S&P. Is that going to change soon? Is the NET going away? In the late 80's the market periodically acted as if production of PCs was going to stop within the next 24 hrs. Good time to buy. In '91 I bought gleefully and continuously, as ORCL went from 28 to 4.5. I couldn't beleive my good fortune as people were dumping this stock. It's up almost 100 times since. (I sold way too soon.)

I'm not happy about the market today, but I can't control that. I still have a real job. I am engaged 10-12 hours a day in it. I didn't have time for lunch yesterday, and only finished half the things I wanted to do. I can't wait for these stocks to hit the exact value I want.

Besides, I am still up 10 times since Jan 95. I am still up 25% this year. That's a long way from where I was or want to be. But, this is a buying opportunity. I take the heat. I buy.
