Qcom owns a 6.5% partnership interest in G* and warrants to buy over 700,000 shares in GTL. Read Note 11 to the financial statement in the Annual Report, which is at the Qcom website. It's very complicated with the partnership and the public company. Yes, it makes sense to treat your investment in Qcom as an investment in G*. It also makes sense to buy some G* shares, but G* is more risky than Qcom. You can also play G* through buying Loral shares.
