Another bit of Ir pricing info courtesy of a2gsg on Yahoo Irid thread (post 14229)

ROW means "Rest of World"
ISU means "Iridium Satellite Unit"

The ISU (from MCSI) is selling for $2495 now. Pager alone is $695 but reduced to $500 if purchased with the ISU. Cellular cassettes are
also discounted to $300 for GSM and $500 for CDMA/AMPA/NAMPS when purchase with ISU.

Apparently with the new plans it is possible to get the world pager service only by ordering it with a SIM card (but without actually buying
an ISU) on the "Emergency Plan" for $39.95+$9.95=$49.90/month (but the $9.95 is waived until 12/31/99), so i guess that would make it
$39.95/month thru '99. As it was explained to me, this will allow you to avoid paying the stand-alone paging service price of $199.95.

***Please note that in the new prices posted in #14177
(http://messages.yahoo.com/bbs?action=m&board=7082607&tid=iridf&sid=7082607&mid=1 4177), i had typo'd the paging service
incorrectly at $29.95 instead of $39.95.

One hitch with the paging only service is that you can only access it (very expensively) thru the 8816 country code at the cost of $6.50/min.
This $6.50/min charge would apply to you in changing your paging coverage MDA's (paging zones) of which you can have up to three,
checking in for missed messages, etc. The $6.50/min charge would also apply to anyone who left you a page and/or voicemail message thru
your 8816 #. For the US/Canada there is a toll-free number to use to retrieve your voicemail messages or change your MDAs, etc, but only
if you have the voicemail option. This method will avoid you being docked the $6.50/min. However, if you're outside of the US and want to
get at your voicemails, change your MDAs, get missed messages, etc. that's another story... Oh, and Voicemail option on top of paging
costs another $19.95/m
