Very, very well said!!

DELL recently reported an ROIC of 189% (from memory, it dropped slightly in the last earnings).

As for what it sustainable ... I don't know. But, given DELL's model, I would be surprised at all if it is in excess of 100%.

Wayne, agreed that valuation on ROIC makes a lot of sense. One other point to keep in mind is to see how that return is spent. If it is spent on buying its own paper with net increase in shares outstanding, it only helps fatten the insider vallets. Such pyramid schemes are bound to fail when the market sentiment turns negative. Of course, you know that. -g-
