NetNation Selected as Official Internet Domain Name Registrar

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- NetNation Communications Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NNCI - news), a leading provider of E-Commerce and Web hosting solutions, today announced that the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has selected NetNation as an official registrar of Internet domain names. NetNation will commence operations as an official registrar after the initial testbed phase of the Shared Registry System, which is expected to be completed by July 9, 1999.

Until recently, Network Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: NSOL - news) held sole authority to register domain names ending in ''.com,'' ''.net,'' and ''.org,'' which grace between 50 percent and 75 percent of the world's Internet addresses. Last year, the Commerce Department appointed ICANN to open up competition and to oversee the privatization of the Net's daily upkeep.

NetNation, which has registered over 18,000 Internet domains, enjoys a preferred-partner relationship with NSI. Because registering a domain is the primary entry point for developing a Web presence, domain registration services represent an important customer acquisition channel for NetNation.

''We are thrilled that ICANN has selected NetNation as a member of the Shared Registry System,'' said David Talmor, President and CEO of NetNation. ''This will give NetNation an important revenue stream and at the same time business customers will reap the benefits of increased competition and innovation.'' Talmor added, ''NetNation will continue to work closely with NSI through this important transition period and beyond.''

TMCS will be on CNBC power lunch tomorrow. A snipet was on CNBC before. The stock is good for a strong close and a pop tomorrow. Good for at least 2-3 points from this level. AN easy score. Just like KELL was
