Who, besides the lawyers, will get the money and how much?

The article said the settlement will go to stockholders between 1995 and late 1997, and that the settlement will consist of some combination of cash and IFMX stock.

I sense you're concerned that the lawyers may not get enough of the settlement to justly compensate them for their hard work. I think you can put your mind at ease on that point :-).

More seriously, I generally detest these plaintiffs' lawyers, but in this case, they may have actually performed a socially useful function, if only as a deterrent. Their M.O. is to allege malfeasance whenever a stock drops in price, for whatever reason; but in this case, there really was malfeasance, and the settlement looks commensurately large.

By the way, the settlement hasn't been officially acknowledged yet; the news story said they've come to a "handshake agreement".
