Jamie; I remember you speaking of fund switchers..now I have never
really got into tath swiching game..I have from time to time
used the pro funds but just buy then liquidate..
However I had some trading problem today and got the broker
on the line for 2 hrs..and fund switching came up.
UOPIX and USPIX are no loads but cost me a $24 transaction fee..
well the time I go in and out of one that's $48..so I didn't
use them that much..
AS it turns out while I still have to pay the $24 to open or
close it..I can switch from one to the other with no TF,
as long as they are in the same family..
I didn't know that..so once in if I don't exit but just
switch it's free. I didn't know that until today..
----------------------
That can add up, like had I not got that guy on the line
I would have bough & sold, then bought the other to sell it
to buy the first one ..like a complete round trip of the
long to short and out would cost me $96 the way I was working
it..now I understand if I don't exit but just switch I can
go back and forth as much as I want , well that can add up
-------------------
In the past I wanted to ( pause in between ) but heck there
is no real need for that as long as I'm doing the paired
trade thing with the QQQ..
--------------------
I'm Still working out a few kinks , but It looks like I'll
be a switcher ..go in the long one on strong down days, switch to
the short one on strong Up days..then use the qqq to wash the
trades.
