Brocade is the new hot ipo. The market will figure it out over time. Ancr will go up, brocade "might" go down. If san and switch market is heating up as we longs believe, brocade may just level off and wait for ancr to catch up. If any of the rumors are true, it might not take that long. Good luck.

BRCD has $28 million trailing 12 months revenues, with the most recent quarter at $10 million..they were telling road show attendees that their sales forcecast for current fiscal year was in $50-$60 million range. I think ANCR can probably generate $10-15 million in 1999 and probably $20-40 million in Y2K depending upon what OEMs are signed and how fast the FC/SAN market ramps. I believe that the Market will eventually recognize that ANCR is worth at least $25% of BRCD market cap and most likely alot more as OEM decisions become known.

The good news is that the BRCD valuation at now trading at 50 times trailing 12 months revenues and 20-30 times forward revenues. Why is this good for Ancor? Because it shows that if/when ANCR lands 1-2 major OEMs, they will have the ability to do a full secondary ala EMLX and command similar multiples to BRCD. ANCR shareholders should be ecstatic about the Wall St reception to BRCD IPO as well as EMLX secondary. Do the math.

I can't help but smile everytime I look at the market capitalization between two of the hottest companies in the FC switch market. Either one is overvalued (IPO euphoria = irrational exhuberance) or one is undervalued (New and improved company fundamentals with a clear focus on what it takes to succeed) or a little of both (IMHO).

All in due time.
