Hi Granola,..Re:.every ibm pt is approx 5 dow pts.

Heard on CNBC from Joe K that the DOW multiplier was re-calculated to be 4.35. Joe was discussing this on May 24th so I wrote it down but you're right that it'll be re-calculated again after the IBM split so we'll have to check on the new number.

Granola, I was given a multiplier of 4.72, so your 5 is right on target. Sure does appear that the tech investors are running to IBM. Sure has been up today. Its interesting that Dell isn't participating in the rally that we are seeing today. Oh well, the day isn't over yet.

I tend to think that we may not see a "true" recovery until next week. It doesn't seem to be a characteristic of traders going on a 3 day weekend and remain long.
