A DFB laser would increase the real estate value of your desktop, and consequently your investment in it, considerably. >The beam follows the fiber path out to the loop where it's added and ported to the headend. < I take that to mean at a SR field node somewhere in the neighborhood, perhaps in a pedestal, where the adding takes place. A replacement to what we now call a coaxial tap, in other words. "Any problems yet?" I've learned to be flexible in these matters. We'll work with your assumptions. What's next? BTW, I'm doing some fast track, so I'll be rather scarce here for a while. But go ahead, I'll be popping in here occasionally, if for no other reason than to provide relief from some mandatory tedium.
