Realistically, however, I do NOT see MSFT as out of danger

I agree that on a short term basis MSFT is still in danger. If we start to see the Nasdaq take off again, I would expect MSFT to underperform right into the start of the trial. This would be a direct result of being able to hold up so well in the recent sell off. Considering the upcoming resumption of the trial, i would have expected it to drop to a few dollars lower than 76 1/4 that we got at yesterday's close. I think it has done too well in the recent sell off.

It may remain in a very tight range between 75 and 80. If it goes up over 80, it would be shortlived. Not many would want to buy it at 80 leading into the resumption of the trial---and probably even in the first couple of weeks of the trial. Mid June may be the big breakout. If the Nas keeps going up, i expect MSFT to underperform in the upcoming few weeks.

Long term, this is a goldmine. I bought some leaps2002 today that I intend to hold for a long time. Waiting for mid to late June to go for the July options and for trading shares.

BTW-maybe MSFT has been in the market buying back shares, adding support to the price.
