it was Espn2 Man Utd won 2-1 just like I predicted! What a memorable game, no scratch that, what a memorable finish. Bayern opened the score in the 5th minute with a direct kick from Bassler when Schmeichel fell asleep. Then it was a disappointing game. Man Utd was a ghost, they missed Roy Keane a lot. It looked like even if they played for days they could not score a goal. Yorke, Irwin, Butt, Blomquvist were totally non existent. You could sense that Bayern would score again in a counter attack. They hit the post twice and Schmeichel had two more saves. I guess we are back to the golden rule, when you don't score the little round ball punishes you. And, oh boy, did they get punished? In the 91st minute Sheningan (a sub) scores. Then the stunned Germans sat around as Man Utd won a corner kick. The ball in the goal area and Solskaer (the other sub) flicks it in in the 92nd minute. I have never seen such a turnaround in my life, especially in such an important game! I felt sorry for the Germans, IMHO they played good enough to win. They should have put them away and they didn't. On a sidenote, the last time Bajern was in the Champions League final was in 1987 in Austria against Porto and I was there! Bayern again opened the score 1-0 but in the second half Porto beat the crap out of them and won 2-1. I found myself in the middle of the Portuguese supporters celebrating with them. How I ended up in the game is a looong story. I really felt bad for the Germans who were still completely stunned as they were accepting the consolation medals and some were crying as they realized how close they came to get the biggest cup of Europe!!! I love this game! Did u use a ladder to get up from Schwab today? or was it an elevator<g>?
