I was under the impression that this correction was pretty much market-wide and was not limited to net stocks. The media does like to focus on the net sector with negative bias.

For example, the big news was the poor performance of several net stock IPOs today.

It was mentioned on several occasions that the Internet IPO market has dried up (a direct assault on CMGI).

IMHO investors are staying away from net IPOs because of:

1. the overall negative market sentiment (in general), and
2. negative media focus on the net sector (specifically), and
3. concern regarding the correction bottom.
