Tony, it's been posted before, but just for the heck of it, here's a direct link to the photos of the Merced cartridge:

I can confirm that those photos aren't fakes. The Merced Slot M cartridge is about the size of a Pentium III cartridge, if not smaller. The Slot M cartridge attaches to the motherboard lying flat on its side, rather than standing up on its edge. In that sense, you could think of it as more of a "Socket M" than Slot M, even though the L2 cache will be off-chip just like Pentium III.

All-in-all, this cartridge looks a lot sleeker than the bulky Slot 2 cartridge of Xeon.
