Thanks. For as long as I have held the Q, the detail in this Smith Barney report is the first time I saw mention of a special break for Motorola in royalty payments. A table in the report singles out MOT for a 2.5% royalty vs 4% assumed for others using their own ASICS. Accurate? Chaz

Mike, you seem to have more info on broker activities than most of us.

What do you know about IPO procedures? Here's an experience I'm going through with Morgan Stanley's Discover Brokerage Direct.

They gave three of my accounts GEI (General expression of interest) #s for 100 shares each of two IPOs. One doubled and the other quadrupled, but when I looked for executions, I found that they had disqualified all six. Phone calls, e-mail and faxes on this subject have been totally ignored for a week.

If you or others know of similar conduct, please let me know. Thanks.
