Peck had Intel rated a strong buy more often than not over the past five years, including a decent amount of time in 96, 97, and 98. That doesn't mean that his opinion has been good over this period--in fact, his history is that of a smart analyst but an exceedingly poor stock picker. But it would be much close to the truth to say that over the past year, he has been mostly negative on Intel, and prior to that he was mostly positive.

In regards to AMD, Peck has been negative on that stock for almost three years.

Andy Grove should stop badmouthing internet stocks and take a look at Intel's share price since he stepped up.The stock is down over 10% since the onset of the year.
