I did a poor job of explaining what I mean.

I did not mean that proslytizing was an example that you could/should follow. Clearly that is not a path that fits you. What I meant is almost the opposite. The presence of things that clearly are the wrong way for you are almost as helpful as the presence of things that do fit you.

I say that because it helps to illuminate the paths you do not wish to take. You say that the aspect of proslytizing is a big turn off for you. then by it's very presence, it is showing you that Christianity is not the path you should take. It is a road sign of sorts, telling you to take a different turn. That is what I meant, by saying that it is helpful. Not as thing to copy or to emulate, but as a sign of what doesn't work for you.

Just as I am sure that most of my ramblings are a clear sign to many of a path that is wrong for them..... :-)
