Alot of intramarket hocus pocus is going on as short-term traders and momentum players try and take advantage of the recent volatility. In both cases, the volatility is likely to continue until Friday morning. Friday afternoon is up in the air as many people will take advantage of good weather to leave early on a 3-day weekend. Most positions will be closed out by 1PM EST on Friday.

Reminds me of the meltdown and swings of late last summer but without the news.

Patent Suits: New or Old?

Company Sleuth (www.companysleuth.com) reports two patent suits. One is "3DFX Interactive Inc v. Nvidia Corporation" and the other is "3DFX Interactive Inc v. Real 3D Inc." Both say "5/24" under "Date Filed." I'm trying to figure out if these are actually new suits or Company Sleuth just now picking up the fact that they exist. I know we've had a suit against Nvidia for awhile (who doesn't?), but I don't recall hearing anything about Real 3D.
