Stewart, your points are well taken. That is why I'm long all three stocks - ebay, amzn and yhoo. Bottom line is that online auctions are very hot with incredible growth, and any major player in that space should do very well.

But if ebay's auction count growth rate is slowing as much as it appears to be, one would think that its stock price, given its astronomical pe, would have to take a major hit. On the other hand, of the big four - ebay, yhoo, amzn and aol - ebay's stock has held up best during this recent stiff correction. Perhaps because it is the only major online auction pure play out there??

I have only about 8% of my portfolio in ebay. On up days I curse myself, and on down days I pat my back :>

Too bad you aren't short ebay - then maybe we'd see more of you!
