Today's Geology Lesson: So do we have a Porphyry or don't we?

Consider:

From November 30, 1998 House Report:

"The results from Line I, shown in Figures 8.17, 8.18 and 8.19, show a broad anomaly from Station 450 to Station 800. This part of Line I is on the edge of the steep slope or cliff which occurs from Station 500 to 1,200. Geological mapping and sampling in the area of Stations 400 to 500 showed PROPYLLITIC ALTERATION throughout the grandodiorite, with carbonate alteration most common. There was elevated copper contents(28ppm to 1563ppm) returned from samples taken nearby, see Appendix II, suggesting there is a weakly mineralised PORPHYRY SYSTEM EXPOSED HERE.(Recall acid leaching dissolves minerals away from the surface.) The IP/Resistivity anomaly shows increased mineralisation to depths of 100 to 150 meters under the surface"

Recall from Geology 101-the heat from the very hot intrusive rock-alters the rock in its vicinity in a radial pattern-the rock is less altered as you move away from the source of the heat-the patterns of alteration characterize a porphyry system. The intrusive rock has usually undergone Potassic alteration. Just above the intrusive is found the porphyry minerlization. Just above that you find Phyllic alteration of the rock(this type of alteration is found at the surface in the center of the breccia pipe). Just above that you find Prophylitic alteration...above that you find Argillic alteration.

LINE I was the Eastern most IP line which was done right on the cliff side of the Lipangue plateau. PROPHYLITIC ALTERED ROCK was exposed there. The IP showed high anomolies 100 to 150 meters below the surface. These anomolies very likely correspond to the Porphyry. Line I is some 800 METERS EAST of where the drilling occurred. Of course something similar(except in Andesite) was found on LINE A on the WEST SIDE of the Lipangue plateau...ie 800 METERS WEST of the drilling.....perhaps it is obvious now why so many Majors have been walking around Lipangue with their tongues hanging out! Cheers.

I didn't say that the report has been distributed, I stated that it "had been done". Otherwise, your comments are mostly accurate!! Your comment that "this type of information creates uncertainty and play into the hands of thread lice, when events don't happen as quickly as we all expect". Wake up!!Investors, IT CALLED A BUYING OPPORTUNITY!!! After the news is out you won't have a chance to pick up cheep stock!!. But maybe?,you can buy "some" of my shares between $2.00 & $3.00. ANYONE SELLING AT THIS LEVEL... HAS "NO CLUE"!!!!!!
