Just as a side note to those who might be interested, I've had GTE cellular service (analog.. bleah...) for about 4 years for my wife, and never could get her to think about getting a digital phone (plus I didn't push it because I was too lazy...). Well, her phone went south last week, and she lost some business because of it, and as of this afternoon, Sprint PCS has at least one more subscriber this quarter, and Qualcomm has another QCP-2700 in usage...(it was the last one in the store where I got it...) plus I got a free car adapter, leather case, and $30 gift certificate (she really liked that...)

If nothing else, take it as a small bit of anecdotal evidence that the analog crowd of the last few years are slowly being rotated into digital systems, and of the phones I saw, only a couple weren't either made by Qualcomm, or driven by their technology.

PS... Now that she sees all the bells and whistles, she thinks the new phone is the greatest thing since handles on suitcases...
