Security Dynamics' Keon PKI Solution Interface is Certified by SAP
New Keon Agent Designed to Secure Application Access and Encrypt Communications for SAP R/3 Customers

BEDFORD, Mass., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Security Dynamics Technologies, Inc. SDTI announced today that corporations using the SAP(TM) R/3(R) enterprise business solutions can now enhance security to prevent unauthorized access to or interception of their critical, distributed SAP R/3 application data by installing the new Keon(TM) Agent for SAP R/3. Certified by SAP for BC-SNC, the standard network security interface of SAP R/3, Keon Agent for SAP R/3 is designed to work with the Keon family of PKI products to provide security services that effectively "lock down" all SAP R/3 applications through a combination of strong two-factor authentication, digital certificates and data encryption. These features are designed to control application access and protect communications between the desktop and application server.
As a member of the SAP Complementary Software Program (CSP), Security Dynamics joins a group of SAP partners that have created products intended to enhance the core SAP R/3 business processes, add value to the solution and interoperate with the R/3 solution via an open, standard interface. By meeting these stringent requirements, Keon Agent for SAP R/3 demonstrates Security Dynamics' ongoing commitment to helping organizations extend their mission-critical ERP applications across and beyond the enterprise to improve business processes, open new lines of trusted communications and increase cooperative ventures with customers, partners and employees.

Keon Application Security
Keon Agents for SAP R/3 are installed on SAP application servers to create the authenticated, secure connection between the desktop and the application server. Keon Agent for SAP R/3 utilizes the SecurID(R) 2100 series smart card authenticator for strong, two-factor authentication and is designed to reduce the possibility of compromised digital credentials due to weak password protection. Support for SecurID hardware tokens is expected to be available this summer.
Security Dynamics' product is designed so that multiple Keon Agents can be employed to protect a single SAP application server, helping balance loads for improved system performance. The product is intended to deliver high availability of key SAP R/3 applications with no single point of failure.
Keon Agent for SAP R/3 is integrated with SAP R/3 through the Generic Security Services Application Program Interface standard, providing protection for all SAP applications, and is designed to eliminate the need for SAP programmers to create their own application to deliver security services, saving organizations time and money.
