<If you are serious about y2k why not sell "useless" glassware for $20 per stem and buy beans/rice/generator/woodstove/propane/gasoline/etc.???>

LOL - Well fortunately I have the money to buy all of the above. And, actually have purchased almost all.

Out of principle I can't sell those glasses for such a low price. I already sold a bunch of $1,000+ outfits for <$150. Clothes will go out-of-style. Besides, I can always leave those glasses to my niece in my will.

Decided to start using the glasses more frequently now. Brought them out for my smoked salmon ravioli dinner last week:-) They looked great with all of those roses, which I've started to cut. I have 96 7' rose bushes on my property. Decided to enjoy them indoors.

Too bad you missed the dinner last week:

<<Sure wish I could get decent re-sale on all my Baccarat crystal @$185+/stem. Don't have much use for it these days>>

Break each piece of stemware in to three pieces; bowl, stem, base. Set all of the bowls outside to catch rainwater; half of them in the shade for cool water, half in the sun for warm water. Stick most of the stems around the perimeter of your property as protection from intruders; save some to shoot from your blowgun. Glue most of the bases together at the edges to form a passive solar concentrator; save a few to barter to others for use as sun lenses for fire starting, warming, grinding into eyeglasses, binoculers, etc. Don't forget to save a few whole goblets in case you have company! <GGG>
