I wish that DELL would buy COMS. Somebody else mentioned. That would make sense.

every pc stock was up today except dell...all pc stocks reported great earnings and increase in pc sales..ibm sells pc like hot cakes at aloss of course but still huge volume..the future is changing but that doesnt explain the dell's lagging the pc makers in a move up...what does explain it is that the people on this thread as well as millions on the street including m dell have such huge profits in the stock like that in no other stock are taking profits...people are not holding the stock because it is a fabulous company..when this process is finished people will buy it again for what it really is....a great company...

Tradegod, I am not so sure the pc is going away. But, that's another discussion. Today, Dell did little while GTW, Cpq (I believe), Hwp, and other box maker's did quit well. Dell traded close to 50 million shares today, and the stock didn't move up.

Your comments about the emerging communications field is well taken. I suspect Dell is watching this very closely, and will react as appropriate. Who might they partner with, or acquire, is anyone's guess.

In the long run, I expect Dell to prosper and the shareholders to do very well. As I said in another posting, I plan on buying Dell again once I can see the "big money" guys taking a more positive stance on the company.

Good luck,

Stock Bull
