Looks like the Saudi's $18.00-$20.00 Brent price by mid-june is a fairy tale. It appears the analysts are predicting sideways to lower oil price trading for the coming months. I hope the saudi's have something hidden under their towels.

[Off-topic]

I just checked local prices on the way home tonight.

Out here in the 'burbs <g>, regular unleaded ranges from $1.08/gal (el cheapo convenience store) to $1.29/gal (major branded retailer), with the average station pricing around $1.19-$1.22/gal.

I live in the suburbs, you know. (AIPN inside joke). ;^)

Actually, ever since I got my Mobil SpeedPass last year, I never check prices when I refuel. I just swing into the nearest Mobil station, ease forward slowly until the red Mobil horse on the pump lights up, fill 'er up, and then go on my merry way. SpeedPass automatically bills my credit card, so I never have to enter the station (a chore that I avoid like the plague, if possible).

IMO, Mobil's SpeedPass is the best invention I've ever seen to build customer loyalty in an otherwise price-sensitive commodity market.
