Bot some Stinker today at 13. What think ye of that? How much more downside can there be from here if the market holds together?

I presume you mean UTEK? Could some someone enlighten me as to why anyone would buy it? A company losing money, with steadily declining sales, that just spent millions developing the Ultrabeam, a product that doesn't work, and even if it did, was in a market segment that is oversaturated already with very limited growth prospects for the near future (yet UTEK in an abysmal display of lack of knowledge of the market they were entering made rosy projections of insatiable demand just months before ETEK announced that there would have big sales reductions due to excess capacity at the mask makers).

Why isn't this company in the single digits? Is it supported by magic? My computer uses multiple methods for valuing semi-cap companies, and UTEK always pops up with a projected 2001 value of $3-4, so either I'm missing some great virtue of the company, or the market is ignoring obvious problems. Presumably its me, so explain to me what I'm missing...

Thanks,

Carl
