Mr. Bernie Lauser reports
The company has finalized a contract with one of the leading direct sales consulting groups in Europe with regard to the development of its European infrastructure. The firm, based in Germany, has extensive expertise in referral marketing and will partner with Millennium to spearhead the company's expansion into the European market.
"This contract is a major milestone for us, because Europe has 400 million consumers with distinctly different needs and tastes than North Americans", says Millennium president Bernie Lauser. "Amazon.com has recognized this by developing its Amazon.de Web site which caters strictly to the German and European market."
The company has secured the domain name www.wowya.de, which will become the base of a unique, multilanguage Web site with a distinct European feel, allowing European consumers to purchase products and services that they prefer. Wowya.com and wowya.de will offer multicurrency order processing in Canadian dollars, United States dollars as well as the recently introduced Euro.
"We are simply using some proven e-commerce strategies and combining them with our unique referral marketing concept that pays consumers if they shop with us," explains Mr. Lauser. "Internet penetration is about one year behind North America and only 10 per cent to 20 per cent of the European population is using the Internet at the moment. This allows wowya.de to be among the first e-commerce sites as the Internet in Europe enters its momentum curve."
