Steven, I think you are right. It seems to me that we are fighting a combo Gulf War/Viet Nam. Bubba wants to win like the Gulf War but is ever mindful of the 'Nam syndrome. One of the lessons he learned from LBJ is that you should not personally be in charge of picking targets. LBJ used to pour over 'Nam maps and pick things to bomb. Clinton plays golf. Right now he is on vacation in Florida. He is taking the full back seat method to this war. Not a bad tactic. It allows him to take no responsibility for things like the Chinese Embassy going up in smoke. -John
