Edamo:

Definitely call me LW. Sorry for the Vietnam flashback. :)

I agree with you, but Platt is leaving, Gerstner will be gone within five years, I am sure and EP is history. So, talk about dead...

MD has been the leader in E-Commerce at $18 million per day now. I am sure he is well ahead of the old school (has been all along).

Why is everyone forgetting this? I really think our ROI is down because the average investor (and the institutions) have a choice now. They are going for the quick bucks (the internets) with companies that don't have earnings. They are going for instant gratification. Many of us have been burned in the past two weeks. I bought ETYS. I will have to hold now. That was foolish and I learned a huge lesson. I think people will come back to the companies with strong fundamentals. Dell, meanwhile continues to execute well. Michael should speak up. He is not God. I would never compare him to God. But, he is a very bright man with an incredible business sense. One of his biggest strengths is that he is not arrogant. Pride can ruin everything.
So while IBM, CPQ and HWP seek to copy Michael's model, Michael with continued flawless execution will be the victor.
