Jon - Re: Intel vs. The Street vs. perception.

You have a lot of valid points. I profess I do not really understand needing a compelling vision, versus intel's balance sheet, attention to core $20B+ business and publicly announced initiatives that are announced freely which are designed to grow the business and make a profit. I guess I am betting a) Intel will ultimately be very successful, b), street perception will change over time as "a" becomes apparent, and c) I am in the midst of a great buying opportunity while the street perceives that intel is plodding. I'm putting my money where my mouth is regarding "c". I qualify my position in that my investment timeline is extremely long. :-)

Thank you again for the thoughtful and articulate post.

PB

Jon, Re: Intel does not know how to do that and because of that the street does not find Intel as compelling

That is why I like Intel :-)

Re: "And Microsoft, a company that seems to know about managing their stock, lets loose"

Jon, I appreciate your thoughtful post, but I tend to disagree with it. Like Intel, Microsoft focuses on its business and on executing their corporate plans. Both tend to avoid distractions, like rumors.

Like Process Boy said, eventually, b) catches up to a).

Elmer, I believe this will be repeated forever.
