How does one know when a stock is at its all time high?

If you get an answer on this one Ed, please let me know. Cato may have this thing figured out!

I didn't mean to sound flippant, but when a stock gains 100% in value in about one month...3-2-99 to 4-5-99, I guess I consider that to be so great a gain that I can't imagine it going any higher. At least, I would be happy to take a profit long before that. No, I don't know how high is high, but I would consider that buying in at the point where a stock has already gained about 98% in about one month is operating on the greater fool theory. That is unless you are looking for a gain of 1/8 or 1/4 pt.
