I think some on this thread are saying that Dell needs to position itself for the wireless future, rather than remaining "just" a boxmaker, since growth is slowing there--and even wrose, perception has shifted. MSFT is aggressively positioning itself for that future; DELL may not have as much cash but it could make moves. It would be great if they could brand wireless devices, too. Or parlay the internet in other directions. So Mark suggested CMGI and a few here suggested COMS--and Ed keeps saying, "So what's the story, Mikey, where ya headed?"

I'm hoping he's working on something to surprise us with.
