You keep digging deeper and deeper to come up with excuses for the embarrassing benchmarks, but if the claims of "the firing squad" are correct, what you see is what you get.

It is painfully obvious from looking at the K7 architecture that the clock for clock FPU performance is less than a Pentium classic, MII, K5, or C6- as the "Foolish Squid" has reported. Wouldn't you agree? Those dual, fully pipelined, single cycle floating point units are nothing more than a marketing bullet.

Get serious.
