BLT- On Topic- Agreed, Sleazebag Bill's China connection sounds fishy. That assistant secretary at DOE who ordered the head of DOE intelligence to back off his investigation of Chinese spying because it might put Clinton in a bad light shows the dangers of getting into bed with a hostile power. It also vividly demonstrates the depravity of the people that Clinton has appointed to positions of influence. Does this surprise anyone of this thread? But another impeachment trial is simply not going to happen. Besides, there's no real proof of a quid pro quo. In fact, I regard it as doubtful that the Clinton administration really intended to sell American nuclear secrets for campaign cash. They simply chose to avert their eyes to the dangers when someone was dangling $$ before their eyes- their priorities were always their own positions first. I suspect the destiny of a nation does not really appear on their radar screen, any more than it does on the part of Clinton's defenders. The American people- the "women's movement" in particular- are quite satisfied with a lying, cheating, thieving rapist in the White House who thinks the Balkans have ignited two world wars this century. How Sleazebag Bill has flim-flammed the American people so effectively is beyond me, but hey, the guy has a certain amount of charm! But Bill's no moron- he's played to popular sentiments as effectively as anyone I've ever seen. The real morons- some of whom have appeared on this thread- are those who have defended him time and time again as his character has been revealed in both Little Rock and Washington. Always they manage to point the finger elsewhere or come up with some idiotic defense of their man, like a man's private character is not important when it comes to selecting a national leader. I repeat, the only way to prevent a recurrence of the Clinton Administration is to restrict the voting franchise in this nation. Unfortunately, while you can test for knowledge, it is prohibitively difficult to test for the wisdom and character that would render a person unlikely to place his or her confidence in a man like Clinton. It is chilling to reflect on the legacy this administration has left the American people. Larry
