Amy - Re: "Did something happen in the last 2 weeks :) "

The usual.

1. Fear of not making the quarter.

2. Key analysts stating fears about Intel not making the quarter.

3. Fear that AMD will FINALLY TROUNCE Intel with their K7 - and that Jerry Sanders will be revealed as the Second Coming of the Messiah.

4. Ongoing recognition that Intel is CONTAMINATED because they actually MANUFACTURE things that people have to buy instead of the preferred paradigm of creating software and providing it to customers for free - thereby avoiding all that nasty overhead such as billing customers, accounts receivable and opening up a bank account to stuff those profits into - all non-productive endeavors.

Re:"Today, I was beginning to get the general impression there were only 10 Intel shareholders. Everyone else appears to be running for the hills. Did something happen in the last 2 weeks :)"

I usually don't like to post but I make a point of reading everything on this thread, EVERYDAY. On days when CNBC (gloom and doom) or Bloomberg (Doomberg)are saying negative stuff about Intel, I find myself getting assured that we own a great stock by going to this thread. Some posts I find entertaining (e.g. Scumbria's) but most of them have been very educational for me. I don't go to other websites anymore to find the latest news about Intel. I find everything here. (I just wish I took engineering/computer science to understand some of the technical stuff that you guys post but as I said, I am learning a lot from you, Tenchusatsu, Process Boy and of course, my favorites, Paul and Scumbria). I just want you to know that we are still Intel shareholders and that Scumbria's posts always convince us to keep it as our major holding. Thank you so much!!!
