Compaq's AltaVista Completes
Its Team of Senior Executives

HOUSTON -- Compaq Computer Corp. said it named three executives to new positions at its AltaVista Co. subsidiary, rounding out the executive team as the online unit prepares for an initial public offering.

Ross Levinsohn, former vice president of programming at online sports broadcaster SportsLine USA Inc., was named vice president and general manager of new media. In the newly created position, he will be responsible for programming at AltaVista's search and electronic commerce sites.

The Palo Alto, Calif., company also appointed Charles Rashall, former partner and chief brand strategist at interactive marketer USWeb/CKS, as vice president of sales and marketing. Mark Delfino, formerly a vice president at management consultants Boston Consulting Group, was named vice president of operations and information management.
