franks...you are an early riser! re: cpq and dell

compaq with the correct management is in essence a similar entity to ibm and hwp...that was the purpose of the dec deal...i held cpq for a long time, made a good bit of money on it, but started dumping when pfieffer lost touch with reality...i buy earnings or potential earnings growth, but always watch management moves, as they are a leading indicator, before the numbers hit the balance sheet. i have been vocal about mikey, as you have...i feel uncomfortable when there is silence, from a company that always speaks of vision and culture. the book is a true representation of the success of dell, but it is being punished for it's perfection, as much more is expected...gerstner has out executed mikey in the ceo game in the recent past..i'm sure dell has plans, but why not tease the equity markets and give back the warm and fuzzy feeling that has been lost...ed a.
