Zeev Hed;

I am very familiar with the Kodak thing and the point there is that Kodak and Poleroid had a long history. Dr. Land, the inventor orginally went to Kodak with his invention and they turned him down. He then founded Poleroid with Dupont family money. If Poleroid had not been a big corporation when Kodak tried the infringement I seriously doubt the suit could have been pressed. It lasted 12 years and went to the Supreme Court. No one but a billionaire could have afforded the carrying costs. I believe Kodak counted on that.

The VLNC directors have wide experience with this kind of thing and they know that they need leverage, even as a corporation to negotiate the deals they may have in mind. Becoming an active producer may be part of their strategy in reaching their goals and that strategy may continue to change, depending upon the deals they are able to negotiate. Potential billions are at stake when someone tries to proliferate a new idea or product based on a new idea, in business. From the hints I'm getting from some of the contributors to this BB who have talked to Dawson personally, my guess is that even he isn't sure exactly how this thing will pan out. I think their still deciding upon a long term strategy in the board room. This is hard ball!
