Bid.Com executives trim holdings near price peak

Paul Godin, chief executive of Bid. Com International Inc., indirectly sold 85,000 of the company's shares for $23.27 to $30.62 each to hold 762,500 shares, according to the Ontario Securities Commission insider trading bulletin.

Other Bid.Com executives also were prominent sellers of the company's stock, the bulletin shows. Jeffrey Lymburner, president, indirectly sold 94,900 shares for $19.58 to $31.35 each to hold more than 1.1 million shares.

And Paul Hart, chief financial officer, exercised 10,000 options, and sold the same number of shares for $23 each. Mr. Hart was granted options to buy 100,000 shares at $1 each in Aug. 1998.

Three other company officials also sold stock.

Bid.Com shares (BII/TSE) rose from penny-stock status last October to peak at $33.65 on April 27. They closed yesterday at $13.30.
