Robby Stephens is too early IMO. I don't read the market on the net stocks as being nearly as ready for a major reversal of the downtrend. Although these stocks are about due for a technical rebound, there is a continued lack of commitment and willingness to sell on rallies. One more minor spring fling, IMO, and then more downward movement and treading water through at least mid summer. Take the next rally as another selling opportunity.

I do agree that the time is right to broaden out from the market leaders to the value growth internet plays.

we feel Amazon‚s business model is evolving from that of a pure-play eTailer of books, etc.. to future shopping portal, where we believe leverage and scalability really starts to drive a superior business model with multiple high margin revenue opportunities.

What in particular? I guess this means things like the big idea of being the portal for thousands of other retailers & suppliers that won't want their own. I can see the fantasy of numbers. But I can't see why that isn't vulnerable to competition from all of the credit card, bank, and large retailers that have larger databases of customer transactions. AMZN has a lot of sound and fury, but still doesn't signify much that other better-financed co's can't do, once they see what actually makes a profit.

Anybody know what these "high margin" opportunities supposedly are?

Thanks for that Glenn. I've never read anything from him, pretty good.

CAPITULATION - We have decided to issue the weekly
e-mail a day early this week, based on our feeling that we are at an important inflection point in
the Internet stock group.

Glenn,

Great post. I'm bookmarking this one.
