I think that Kargal incidents would be contained, I am very positive the stakes are mighty high and these aerial intrusions and wreckage on Pakistani side would not encourage PAF to undertake similar adventures over Indian sovereign soil. The restraint from Pakistan I hope will not be treated as weakness by the hawks across. If further intrusions are undertaken that would turn the hawks here go 'crazy', right now the situation is fully under control. I have very high hopes from Lahore declaration and I think that Mr. Vajpayee has a vision to deliver. The man I vividly remember in Lahore, I am optimistic would lead the region to peace not war. In war no one escapes unscathed.

I have talked to my friends and we all agree that we cannot afford rising escalation with India.
I have yet to find a single person who supported any kind of retaliation, I see similar response from across the border, people on both side want to live and have taken moral high-ground of demanding restraint.

We do realize on our side it here that raising the notch will not help the ultimate cause of settling disputes through negotiations, I have high hopes and expect that both Indians and our side will show strategic and political maturity that may lead to enduring peace in this region.

May 98 we had heightened tensions they were contained, I expect that political leadership have the will on both sides to face the issues. I think if BJP returns, we may see a lot more progress towards détente and mutual permanent solutions to co-exist.
