While the future is in the eye of the beholder, one should not simply dismiss the past performance because the future is uncertain. Your post seems to imply that, or at least that's what I picked up.

Even if the market is 33% overvalued, that does not necessarily mean that SUNW is 33% overvalued. I don't want to mix metaphors, so to speak.

I agree that the world situation is precarious. I also think with bond yields rising, there will be a lid put on the market.

With respect to SUNW, there is still incredible demand for their high end/high margin products. Let's look at their direct competition. Take a peek at IBM and HWP lately, then take a look at SUNW. It's obvious that these leaders of the sector are doing very well.

I don't believe it's appropriate to single out SUNW as the bloated high priced pig of a stock <vbg>

Michael

Haim.

Another way to look at it is, historically, wars stimulate economy. When there's fear that China and Russia are becoming increasing threat to this country, US will have to boost its defense budget. They will buy more SUN servers. Personally, I don't see the war in Yugoslavia will have any impacts to the economy.

Wars have been good to economy in the past, wars will be good to the economy in the future, given that we don't engage in the total destruction of nuclear wars.
