All high tech companies face stiff competition from Europe and even India, who relative to that part of the world are technological very advanced on par with the US in many fields. Excuse me, but can you name one European or Indian workstation maker that compete in the same arena as SUNW? On the contrary, we see many European/Indians high tech engineers working in US computer industry, why is that? They are great engineers, but if they go back to Europe or India, they wouldn't have a prayer to try to convince investors to pour in billions of dollars required to invest in their latest jewel microprocessor. Do you understand how much it takes to build a processor fabrication lab? All you see in these European countries and in India, China is that they are setting up PC clone shop to try to compete with DELL, CPQ. They can't compete with SUNW, HWP now, and they can't compete with them in 10 years.
