Tom:

Good post. But you should consider he was buying recently in the $39 range, and he has and outstanding reputation for picking winners.

At CompUSA, dozens of insiders bought tons of stocks in the teens last year, and stock went on to decline 50%.

Tom, I hope you didn't make your short decision on what happened at CompUSA....For each example of insider buying a dog, there are 3 or 4 examples of huge gains....They are, after all, the most knowledgeable regarding what their prospects are....(The tape has told a different tale between CompUSA and CUST thus far....

That works out to $14 3/4 per share.

These are just numbers, Tom...What is cost basis for shares bought from AMZN IPO? Answer: $2....I know plenty of people who are still buying the company at over $100/share...Both comments are a big so what, of course!

What is important is what the company is worth to folks now, with the information we have to work with now. My guess is that Sanchez is staying pat and there certainly seemed to be plenty of folks buying today in an otherwise dismal market....That would worry me more as a shorter than how much a multi-millionaire paid to buy into this company.

Note that most of the shares were bought before the company started on its new internet venture. Basically, Sanchez bought into a concept, not a proven product.

All we ever do as investors is invest in the people in which we have confidence in to grow a business for us....The best ideas in the world are worthless if we don't have someone who can make them work. Don't kid yourself, that was an investment in COOK, nothing else.
