Agreed. We were and are concerned however in the "long" run everything will work out. Gotta tell though..... glad I was not home yesterday when we hit 105. Stomach has been churning.

"The story was extremely grim and made it sound as though
AOL had no chance in cable. It was all commentary and ZERO fact. The story could
have been played in a positive light by saying AOL was wise not to pay up for a very
expensive company. Or that the T-UMG merger would be held up by regulators for at
least a year. It was the most biased, damaging commentary I have ever seen. "

This is why I do not watch CNBC. It's all entertainment, going for what makes a dramatic story, regardless of the facts. As someone pointed out, CNBC is a lagging indicator (and even that's being generous). My mother has this wonderful habit of buying high and selling low. Needless to say, she watches CNBC all day long. She should have listened to her son (in AOL at 20 split-adj. and loving it still :).

ps. I do indulge myself by watching CNBC on vacations as we get ready for the day. After all, if vacations can't be entertaining.....

Steeny,
<(the young pencil neck dude) > LOL

I remember that report...Thought he might go on to say something like..." The FCC has decided that AOL can't use phone lines anymore...they have to use smoke signals now."...:)

These two guys are a comical team straight man and all. Their views are purely assumptions made on news they receive. The show's success is partially because of it's ability to twist a little Joe and Dave foolery into the program. Where they go wrong is when they try move from that to a more serious and presumably knowledgeable role.
All this said I and many others still like and enjoy watching the show.

Would you take advice from either of them? I wouldn't; I bought AOL and can't complain. If I had listened to them I wouldn't have.

I bought below these prices but, It hasn't been easy but I've held on through turbulent times. I feel this is one strong Internet business.

Your outrage @ CNBC is understandable and I agree. The only question I ask is "what right thinking person is going to buy and sell on Steve Franks piece on AOL @ T"? Yes ,some will be influenced and sell but those people don't hold enough shares to have any impact.
