I'd have to say that most stock brokers are like lawyers..., they start out with good intentions, but then turn into wh***s. They push what "the house" tells them to. They don't really care if the investor makes money.

Aside from my personal favorite, BTIM, I believe that Riley's last public "pick" was Allegiance Telecom, when it IPO'd around $15. After a rough beginning, it has recently traded in the 50's and closed today at 34.

If I had put 5K into RMIL, I would have lost 5K. If I had put 5K into ALGX, I would have had over 15K. As I said, OVERALL, Riley has picked more winners than losers. That's about all the average stockbroker can say. <G>
