Kapkan4u,

I have been using lightwave since release 1.0 on the Amgia Video toaster. Back then rendering a single frame with anti-aliasing would take over an hour easily on 68020 (I think).. anyway.. times have changed.

Let's just say that Lightwave is prehaps the world's truest test of raw fpu power. There are now 3d-now, kni, mmx, etc. extension in lightwave because it can't afford them (single precision is useless for ray-tracing). Whomping the P3 by 25% is basically the same as a PIII with a 30% higher clock speed.. so that's a good beating.

Regards,

Steve
